you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians

The Lord has not yet
completed its good work in you. You may think he has done enough. He realized
what they could do. You may think that he went on to rebuild someone else
instead of you. If it is like this, think more carefully. “Being
confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to
completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
Do you know the
purpose of God in your life? Accomplish a good deed. Do you know when it will
complete? On the day that Jesus Christ returns to rescue his church. Can you
understand what that means? God has not completed the work on you. Do you know
why you still have to face struggles and difficulties? Because God is still
working in your life. It is not over yet. It is missing a little, but in the
meantime, he is improving you. (Max Lucado)

Two years and nine months in Haiti and the "work" remain both in Camp de La Grace as in my life. As I shared in previous newsletters since March I am having many "struggles and difficulties" in finances. Not because people are not offering, on the contrary, God remains faithful through over a hundred people who support me here in the mission field, but problems with my credit card.
First the dollar was
too high, after my card was blocked for internet shopping, preventing the
transfer of my Brazil's resources to the US and then to Haiti. When I went to
the Dominican Republic in late April, I was hoping be able to use the card at
ATMs, but I think the machine I used was "hungry" for it "swallowed"
my card and he had to definitely be canceled. We tried everything to resolve
the situation. My brother Roberto had to contact Central Bank to put pressure on
Creditcard to solve my problem.

Hope then came with the possibility of a temporary card that would be valid for one month and would have the same functions as my old card. This card was sent to the address of Nycole’s mother. A team from her church came in early May and brought the card. But once more I could not use it because the "Internet" was not available for this card, (Is it possible?) that means my problem continued.

You may be wondering:
Three months without being able to send a single penny for your support?! What
did you do? Food and water to drink? Fuel for locomotion, water for general use
and electricity? Internet and credit on the phone for communication? Payment of
four helpers? Trip to the Dominican Republic? Payment of a fine for having
spent more than three months in the country? These and other expenses were
miraculously solved by other offerings from other people that I did not know or
did not expect. God took care of all the details.

Last week I had only
$ 100 gourdes (US$ 2) in hands and the provisions were running low. I knew that
God would take care of this detail as well. Then at the end of my class of Haitian
Creole on the internet, my teacher Teresa, an American who has lived in Haiti
for 12 years, said: "I will pray for someone to come pay a debt he owes
you" and smiled. I said amen, but did not remember anyone who could do
that. The next afternoon someone came with an envelope containing $ 1,250 (US$
27) gourdes from someone who actually owed me. Praise the Lord!
